# ABOUT

BASILISK Logistics is the Eorzean subsidiary of Uwabami Express and a formerly Dalmasca-based transport company known as Emperor Corps. While it is known for unparalleled confidentiality and safety when transporting products to their destination, the Uwabami-Emperor alliance also engages in various underworld-type work such as intelligence brokering and munitions smuggling.As a politically neutral entity, Emperor Corps will generally service whoever gives them the highest payout and/or most benefits. Their most notable client in Eorzea was the Ala Mhigan Resistance, whose eventual victory over their Garlean oppressors prompted Emperor Corps to establish relations with local delivery companies to offset transportation costs from Othard (and later Hingashi).Emperor Corps' operations in the former kingdom of Dalmasca have slowed down considerably as a direct result of XIVth Legion tribunus Livia sas Junius and her hunting of suspected rebels, a label under which Emperor Corps was placed after its ventures with the Ala Mhigan Resistance became public. Few outliers managed to escape the slaughter and re-establish a base in the port city of Kugane, where they began to rebuild. They eventually entered a business partnership with Uwabami Express, a maritime transport company also based in Kugane, after their work/clients began to overlap.Now, Emperor Corps operates in Kugane and its immediately surrounding islands while Uwabami Express oversees the activities of its subsidiary companies. The alliance plans to expand its empire beyond the Three Great Continents at some point in the future, but they are currently focusing on expanding and creating new Eorzea-based chapters to further their business opportunities.BASILISK Logistics joins its sister companies—XIANGLIU Logistics, GLYCON Logistics, & LEVIATHAN Logistics—in redefining transport services all over Hydaelyn.

■ Ilsabard - Garlemald- GLYCON Logistics is assumed to have been absorbed by the Garlean Empire after communications were severed and since failed to be re-established. There is, however, a rumor based on their last broadcast that they may have retreated to the Bozjan Southern Front and are currently aiding the resistance efforts in Gangos.BASILISK LOGISTICS (BasiLog)
■ Central Aldenard - The Black Shroud (Gridania)
■ Southern Aldenard - Thanalan (Ul'dah)- BASILISK Logistics derives its name from a serpent whose gaze is said to be deadly. This company is reputed for the overall strength of its members, as well as their efficiency in completing assignments.- BASILISK is headquartered and almost exclusively operates in the Black Shroud area of central Aldenard. Few ventures bring them outside of this area but deliveries to the neighboring region of Thanalan are not unheard of. Due to the time and risk involved with long-distance travel when receiving a delivery commission, operators are free to carry out their own activities within the locale (so long as said activities do not damage the interests of Uwabami Express or Emperor Corps).LEVIATHAN LOGISTICS (LeviLog) ※ UNDER CONSTRUCTION
■ Southern Vylbrand - La Noscea (Limsa Lominsa)- Named after the King of the Seas, LEVIATHAN Logistics is the newest addition to the Uwabami-Emperor alliance. The formation of this largely sea-based company is being spearheaded by former members of BASILISK.

- Conducting business with companies under the Uwabami-Emperor alliance is, on the surface, akin to hiring any private courier service for any packages or cargo that needs to be delivered in a respectable & timely manner. For services beyond that, one would need a referral from an existing client as well as the company's calling card—without either of these, the company will refuse to do business. A successful partnership is built upon mutual trust, after all.- Recruitment into companies owned by the Uwabami-Emperor alliance is non-exclusive, as many of its operators juggle multiple jobs due to the nature of commission-based work and various life circumstances.- Day-to-day activities entail delivering mail/messages to areas unsupervised by Delivery Moogles or transporting cargo/goods. Newly appointed operators are generally left out of the "darker" side of the alliance's business until their trust is earned or, although extremely rare, a large enough order comes in that all hands are needed on deck.
